Ion Ltd is an IT consultancy based in Gosforth, close to the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne. Established in 1997 we aim to be a one-stop-shop for all IT and computer issues for small to medium sized businesses and organisations.
We operate throughout the North East of England including Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham, Teesside, County Durham and Northumberland, occasionally venturing as far afield as the Scottish border, the Midlands, S.Africa and Dubai. Our clients range from home based individuals through to larger organisations with staff spread over multiple sites.

Recognising that computers can be extremely complex and challenging, we pride ourselves on taking a common sense approach to all things IT. We will always try to find the most practical, cost effective solutions to your particular needs, avoiding unnecessary complexity and expense. In the long run, we believe it is better for our clients to have IT systems which work well, do the job they were designed for and don’t need us to fix them all the time!
We are also keen to help our clients understand their computers as much as possible. Although we are fluent in Geek-speak we try to use plain English rather than jargon wherever possible.

This allows us to make better informed decisions about the computer systems that are needed to fulfill our clients’ requirements.
Before founding Ion Ltd. our principal IT Consultant, worked for 14 years at Newcastle University as part of a highly successful three person team looking after 6000 PCs. We have a depth of experience but keep up with the latest industry practices.
